La Dea di Betania da un manoscritto francese risalente 412-420

La maledizione dell'occhio

È stato suggerito da autori contemporanei , che la famiglia Sinclair sia collegata direttamente alla Casa di Davide , diretti discendenti della stirpe davidica ovvero di Jeshua e di Maria di Betania.
Un manoscritto francese , risalente 412-420 dC , che chiameremo come documento 4 , sembrerebbe confermare questa ipotesi .
“Ora avvenne in quei giorni che una Sacerdotessa della Dea dal villaggio di Betania della tribù di Beniamino e figlia di un custode delle sacre colombe fosse fidanzata a un uomo chiamato Jeshua... Ora Jeshua era della casa di Davide, il re e si sposarono .
E Jeshua si ribellò contro gli oppressori Romani e venne sconfitto, ma molti romani erano devoti della Madre e non erano disposti ad uccidere la sua sacerdotessa che era incinta . Così Miriam venne imbarcata su una nave e fu segretamente condotta in Gallia … e lì stette molti anni. Ora lei partorì una figlia che era straordinariamente leggiadra e il re di quel posto posò lo sguardo su di lei e le chiese come sua moglie , ma lei era promessa alla Dea . Ma il re così non volle e la fece sua sposa e lei gli partorì un figlio e una figlia .
Ma la Dea presa da grande ira per lo stupro di sua figlia maledì il re dicendo : la tua discendenza sarà allontanata da me e la tua eredità assunta da te. La tua progenie morirà trafitta in un occhio e così la tua genia verrà a cessare . Eppure, per amore della mia sacerdotessa che tu hai stuprato, devo perdonare te e la tua discendenza, appagata dalle fatiche che io darò loro.
Essi dovranno combattere e recuperare ciò che è stato smarrito a dagli oppressori di tua moglie, ma tuttavia non dovranno tenere per essi soffriranno tradimento ( come tu mi hai tradito ) . A meno che uno dei tuoi discendenti , terminerà la dinastia dei loro traditori forando l'occhio della sua Liegi . Per questa famiglia devo premio grandezza se tornano da me e da questo momento a che sono quattro e cento generazioni.

And Jeshua rebelled against the oppressors against Rome and was defeated, but many Romans were devotees of the Mother and were unwilling to kill her priestess who was with child. So Miriam took ship and was secretly smuggled into Gaul where she was delivered and there she abode many years. Now she bore a daughter who was exceedingly fair and the king of that place looked upon her and demanded that she be his wife but she was promised to the Goddess. But the king would not have it so and made her his wife and she bore him a son and a daughter.

But the Goddess was exceeding wrath for his rape of her daughter and cursed him saying, Thy seed shall be estranged from me and thine inheritance taken from thee. Thy seed shall end by the piercing of an eye and so shall thine inheritance cease. Yet for the sake of my priestess whom thou ravished shall I forgive thee and thy seed if they fulfill those labors which I shall give them.

They must fight and capture that which was lost to the oppressors of thy wife though they shall not hold it for they shall suffer betrayal (as thou betrayed me). Unless one of thy seed shall end the House of their betrayers by piercing the eye of its Liege. To this family shall I award greatness if they return to me and from this time to that shall be four and one hundred generations .
